Key benefits

1. Improves brain function: The omega-3 fatty acids in chia help build brain cell membranes, stimulate the formation of new ones and reduce overall inflammation in the brain. They improve mood and memory and protect against dementia and depression.

2. For cardiovascular disease: It not only “thins” the blood but also prevents the deposition of atherosclerotic plaques and even breaks down deposits in the arteries. It lowers thromboxane – a factor that activates blood clots – by 50%. Research shows that it also helps lower cholesterol levels and helps with weight loss. Chia seed oil is full of dietary fibre, which also benefits heart health and weight control.

3. Increases energy and boosts metabolism: Chia seed oil improves recovery after heavy physical exertion and training. Chia seed oil also helps boost metabolism and burn belly fat. Studies show a reduction in visceral adipose tissue (belly fat), which affects metabolism and is a component of obesity.

4. Fighting breast and cervical cancer: Chia seed oil is extremely rich in omega-3 fatty acids. According to a study published in Molecular Biochemistry, omega-3 limits the growth of cancer cells in breast cancer and cervical cancer. It also causes the death of cancer cells without damaging healthy cells.

5. Chia seed oil raises the levels of antioxidant enzymes and neutralises free radicals, thus protecting against a number of diseases.

6. Chia seed oil prevents and reduces skin allergies.

7. For dry skin: Chia seed oil is absorbed deep into the skin cells and increases skin hydration.

8. Against ageing: Researchers from Mexico found that chia seeds have antioxidant activity that stops up to 70% of free radical activity. This research shows that the seeds are one of the richest natural antioxidant foods. Antioxidants prevent cell damage.

9. Against dry and brittle hair: The fatty acids in chia seed oil help retain moisture and hydrate the hair. Chia seed oil also prevents hair breakage. For best results, apply chia seed oil to wet hair.

Description

Chia is a plant of the sage genus with small, hard seeds. The plant has a very ancient history. It was known in the time of the Maya and Aztecs as a food for endurance and health.

Thanks to its valuable ingredients, chia seed oil is the ideal food supplement.

Chia seed oil contains a minimum of 60% omega-3 – extremely important for the human body, but very poorly represented in the diet of a large proportion of people today. Chia is the richest plant source of omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid).

Chia seed oil is also rich in many beneficial vitamins and minerals, including iron, potassium, zinc, calcium and magnesium.

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for the health of the brain, heart, eyes, skin, hair and nails. A deficiency is linked to various inflammatory and degenerative processes in the body, eczema, dry skin, brittle hair, depression and more. An interesting fact is that the human brain and the retina of the eye contain high concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids!

Omega-3 fatty acids are also very important during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in young children.

Taking omega-3 reduces the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and psycho-emotional problems, as well as various inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Chia seed oil supports cell membrane function, blood fluidity and the clearing of arterial plaques, reduces bad cholesterol, normalises heart rhythm and blood pressure, contributes to healthy skin, hair, nails and eyes, promotes mental health and reduces inflammation.

Unlike fish oil, chia seed oil is easy to take and does not cause reflux in young children.

Chia seed oil has excellent anti-inflammatory and soothing properties for the skin. It reduces redness and restores the skin's normal moisture content. It has a strong antioxidant effect, helping to reduce wrinkles. Omega-3 stimulates the skin's natural production of collagen.

Used on the hair, chia seed oil adds shine and prevents brittleness and hair loss while restoring the hair's moisture.
