Nebulizers use a pump to push compressed air through a system of 2 small tubes. A pressure difference is created between them, which draws the essential oil up one of the tubes, at the end of which it meets the air jet from the other tube. This breaks the oil into a fine mist. Nebulizers work without adding water, and the mist they release consists only of concentrated pure essential oils. This makes them much more suitable for people who use essential oils for health purposes and for those who practise aromatherapy. Nebulizers are also a good choice for larger rooms because of the strength of the pure scent they release. Like ultrasonic diffusers, nebulizers do not use heat and do not damage the essential oil. Heat treatment drastically reduces their therapeutic qualities.
